Mission & Objectives
The Center for Transformation Ecology is an umbrella organization co-created by a cast of inspired entrepreneur-activists dedicated to advancing the tasks and skills necessary to usher in a new era stewarded by local and global networks of intentional community. Our main objectives are to:
1) Cultivate local, proactive, collaborative, diverse, and innovative solutions to community problems, and
2) Integrate our efforts with the current global movement to evolve into a symbiotic and regenerative Earth community.

Ecopsychology frames the question that ultimately leads to the attitude, approach, and priorities that interconnect self, community, and world. It integrates macro and micro experiences into one dynamic and coherent constellation of being and purpose.
Resourcefulness is characterized by the commitment to do whatever it takes to manifest a basic degree of internal, local, and global self-reliance. It is concerned with building niche-specific modes of application and accessing the imagination, tools, expertise, and wisdom needed for creating and maintaining lifelines of sustenance in our communities.
Communication focuses on the circulation and enhancement of ideas, methods, and activities embedded within our networks of information. It is based on recognizing and interpreting the internal, interpersonal, and environmental indicators that allow us to function fluidly within different circumstances.
Community-Building concentrates on the development and ongoing maintenance of roles, structures, and operations that are needed for organizing and optimizing available social and natural resources. It focuses on increasing the flexibility, adaptability, and cooperative potential needed to work collaboratively within a diverse range of local conditions.
Effective Action deals with the creative and strategic process of attuning to theoretical, participatory and embodied ways of knowing in order to implement regenerative modes of behavior. It is based on cultivating and refining our capacity for direct experiential learning through intentional and improvisational techniques and applications.
What is Transformation Ecology?
We are an evolving play of participating relationships that together form the dynamic foundation of our global reality. In order to develop the adaptability required to function in harmony with a changing and ever creative world, it is crucial that we develop the means to manifest awareness, resourcefulness, communication, and effective action within and on behalf of our Earth Community. As embodiments of the natural world, we are crystallizing a new pattern of conduct defined by nourishing and self-generating behavior. In turn, these acts provide potent channels for self-discovery, personal empowerment, and raising consciousness. In short, we are transforming ourselves as we transform the world.
